Who is responsible

The Tech Stack Lab is operated by Marvin Smit. For questions or requests about personal information, contact hello@thetechstacklab.com. The contact page states the mailbox’s launch status.

Reading the site

The site has no visitor accounts, contact form, newsletter signup, advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. Its application code does not set cookies or store visitor data in local storage. Images and scripts are served with the site rather than embedded from the reviewed products. Typography uses system fonts.

Delivering a page involves technical request information such as the requested URL, IP address, browser information and request time. The hosting service may process this information to deliver the site, diagnose faults and protect it against misuse. This technical processing is separate from advertising or a visitor profile.

Templates, calculators and copying

Calculator inputs and edits to the on-page email template are handled in your browser. The site does not send those values to a server. Clicking Copy asks your browser to write the selected template or prompt to your clipboard. The site does not read your existing clipboard. A download is a normal request for the template file.

If you email us

We receive the address you send from, your message and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate a correction or handle your request. You do not need to provide that information to read the articles.

For ordinary editorial enquiries, our basis is the legitimate interest in answering correspondence and maintaining accurate content. Where a legal obligation requires processing, such as handling applicable data-rights requests, that obligation is the basis. We do not add correspondents to a marketing list.

Service providers, retention and external links

Hosting and email service providers can process the information needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to handle a legal claim. We do not sell reader information or use it for cross-site advertising.

We retain correspondence while needed to answer the enquiry, resolve follow-up questions or document a material correction. Any longer retention must be justified by an unresolved dispute or a legal obligation. Technical-log retention depends on the hosting service’s configuration and security requirements.

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Its global delivery network processes technical requests and may process data in the United States and other countries. Vercel describes its processing, retention criteria and international-transfer safeguards in its Privacy Notice and Data Processing Addendum. We do not maintain a separate visitor database. Provider-held technical records are retained according to operational, security and legal requirements; we do not claim a fixed deletion period for those records. Our contact mailbox is still being set up and is not yet a verified way to reach us. We will update this notice with the email provider when it is activated.

Following a provider link takes you to another website, whose privacy and account terms apply there. Those sites are not loaded as embedded product interfaces on our pages.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion or restriction, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability may apply in relevant circumstances. We may need enough information to verify a request, and some requests may be subject to legal exceptions.

You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work. You can contact us first, but doing so is not a requirement for a complaint. We do not make automated decisions about visitors with legal or similarly significant effects.

Changes to this notice

If we introduce forms, analytics, affiliate tracking or another feature that changes data handling, we will update this notice to reflect it. The review date above identifies this version.
